Illinois 1B Will Miss 2 Games, Suspended by League
<Eric Rigsby:player#4954>'s disrobing act in yesterday's loss to the <Idaho Steelheads:team#92> at Albertson's Field cost him a 2-game suspension. The league office informed the <Illinois Warhawks:team#74> today that their first baseman would be suspended for "his poor conduct and unacceptable behavior that made a farce out of the game."

After being called out on strikes, Rigsby was ejected by the home plate umpire after a heated and animated discussion. In protest for the ejection, he proceeded to throw his bat down, take off his batting gloves, cap, shirt, socks and shoes and left them at home plate, refusing to pick them up.

Asked about the suspension, Rigsby sheepishly told reporters, "I did a stupid and embarrassing thing. Let's just leave it at that."

This year <Rigsby:player#4954> is batting .239 with 87 hits and 29 home runs. He has scored 49 times and has batted in 60 runs.
