Vulcans End Tobías's Streak
<Wilmington:team#24> center fielder <Juan Tobías:player#10937> came into today's game against the <Birmingham Vulcans:team#20> on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.

The Vulcans did their jobs well, beating the <Wilmington Eagles:team#24> 13-5 and holding Tobías hitless to snap his 25-game hitting streak. The 23-year-old center fielder had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-4, telling reporters only that he "came up short."

"What <Juan:player#10937> did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Eagles manager . "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 25 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."

This year <Tobías:player#10937> has hit at a .281 pace and produced 36 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 51 runs.
