Ronnie Carriere Injured, Out for Year
<Olympia:team#95> center fielder <Ronnie Carriere:player#9172> could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured achilles tendon. He exited yesterday's <Rochester:team#15> game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Carriere would be out 7-8 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

<Carriere:player#9172> currently has a .283 batting average with 60 hits, 10 homers, 43 RBIs, 47 runs scored and a .406 OBP.
