Orlando's Wallace Snaps Up Player of the Week
No single hit brought <Myron Wallace:player#11458> Player of the Week honors -- the <Orlando Oceanics:team#57> center fielder corralled the award with a consistent approach in every at-bat.

"Hitting is all about discipline," said Wallace. "When you lose focus, start to lunge at the ball and swing too aggressively... swinging at a lot of bad pitches... that's when your average starts to drop and you wind up fighting for playing time. You're most successful when you concentrate on the ball and make 'em throw strikes."

Concentrate he did. <Wallace:player#11458> stroked 10 hits in 21 at-bats while cranking out 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 2 runs scored.

For the season <Wallace:player#11458> has produced 43 hits in 146 at-bats for a .295 average with 9 home runs and gotten on base at a .418 clip.
