Explorers Clonk Warhawks, 3-1
Multnomah Stadium was the site of a tense game between the  <Illinois Warhawks:team#74> and <Oregon Explorers:team#75>.

In a low-scoring game between the <Oregon Explorers:team#75> and the <Illinois Warhawks:team#74>, pitcher <Rob Walker:player#3554> was masterful on the mound. The Oregon right-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. Walker went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 8. His record improves to 1-4.  Picking up the save was <Dan Jackson:player#11729>, his 4th.

The Explorers got a big at-bat from first baseman <Tony Rincón:player#3256>. For the game, Rincón was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run  home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Oregon a 2-1 lead.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Explorers manager <John Yuda:manager#7>, "I like our chances." 

Today's win puts Oregon at 22-25, while Illinois falls to 18-29.
