Bombers Prevail, as High School Wildcard Series Goes to the Wire
The fans in Lackland AFB HS are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Phoenix HS.

The <Lackland AFB HS Bombers:team#140> finished off the <Phoenix HS Fire Ants:team#160> 5-2 in the deciding game of the High School Wildcard Series played at Ballpark of Phoenix HS.

They took the series 3-2 and will now head to the High School LCS.

For his standout play, Lackland AFB HS first baseman <Bob DeLuca:player#12314> was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.

He batted .286, drove in 5 runs and scored 5 to lead his club to victory.

"We could never really figure out how to pitch to DeLuca and that doomed us," said Fire Ants manager  . "Hats off to Lackland AFB HS, though. That was a great series."

The <Lackland AFB HS Bombers:team#140> don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the <Quebec City HS Nordiques:team#165> - <Detroit HS Red Wings:team#172> series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The High School LCS schedule will be announced after the High School Wildcard Series finishes.
