Villarreal, Vipers Wallop Warhawks, 11-1
<Arizona:team#6> right fielder <José Villarreal:player#9874> helped his team beat the <Illinois Warhawks:team#74>, 11-1. Villarreal, the first overall pick in the 2049 draft, went 4 for 4 for the Vipers. <Jeff Locke:player#1291>, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 2-0.  Illinois falls to 0-6.

The Vipers got a big hit from catcher <Sander Mertens:player#7125>. In the bottom of the eighth, Mertens pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season put the Vipers ahead, 11-1.
