Vitagliano Slaps 5 Hits
After a 5-hit effort to lead <Sierra Vista Southeast HS:team#149>'s 17-1 victory over the <St. Louis HS Blues:team#168>,  left fielder <Orfeo Vitagliano:player#12480> told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the High School League-level is really something special." 

The 17-year-old player earned his accolades today at Field of the Cedars with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Blues. 

"His swing is getting there," said Cedars skipper  , who spoke glowingly of <Vitagliano:player#12480> after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. <Orfeo:player#12480> did that to perfection today." 

<Orfeo Vitagliano:player#12480> hit an RBI triple in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off <Chris Rooks:player#6092> in the 8th.
