Hall of Fame Welcomes Starrett
<Bob Starrett:player#4113> played baseball a long time and he played it well. Then at the age of 35, he called it a career. In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments, <Starrett:player#4113> has been voted into the Hall of Fame, with 100.0% of ballots voting him in.

"There is so much to love about this game," the newest honoree said during his induction speech at the American Federation Baseball League Baseball Hall of Fame. "I couldn't imagine anything greater than my first major league game. Then I hit my first home run. Then the other landmarks came. But nothing tops today... to think that I made it to the Hall of Fame."

The legendary shortstop put up some impressive numbers. <Starrett:player#4113> played in 1523 games, compiled a .274 batting average, hit 110 home runs, drove in 602 runs and scored 681 times during his career.
