Hall of Fame Honors Bob Holmes
The American Federation Baseball League Hall of Fame just added a fine catcher and hitter to its number. The newest member of baseball's most elite group is <Bob Holmes:player#3751>, who retired at the age of 35.

"I always knew I was good enough to play, but the Hall of Fame was one of the few things I never even dreamed of," said <Holmes:player#3751> at his induction ceremony. "For me to focus a lot on the individual, that's not the way I learned to play the game. Baseball is a team game. You win as a team, you lose as team. You also do so many things together, but it is not an 'I' thing."

During his illustrious career, <Holmes:player#3751> had 382 home runs among his 2179 hits, while batting .298. He played in 1897 games, scored 1055 runs and knocked in 1133 runs.
