Bulldogs Advance to League Championship Series
California first baseman <Jim Quinn:player#10339> couldn't hide his reaction when asked about being named MVP of the Wildcard Series.

"It's a nice honor," he said, failing to suppress a wide smile. The trophy was presented to Quinn moments after his club eliminated the <Washington Resonance:team#91> to advance to the League Championship Series.

California won the final game by a score of 2-0 at Bulldog Stadium and took the series 4-1.

"We won the series and that's the main thing," Quinn said. "They were a tough team and we didn't want to take anything for granted."

For the series, Quinn hit .500 with a .524 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 2 runs.

"He was tough to stop and that's a big reason they're there and we're here," said a dejected Washington manager <Larry Gomberg:manager#71>.

The League Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
