League Suspends Flagstaff CF Abeele
The suspension of center fielder <Chaim Abeele:player#1134> did not sit well with the <Flagstaff Venom:team#30>. Both Abeele and his manager were livid at what both say is an unjustified 3-game suspension issued today by league officials. Abeele was suspended for "inappropriate conduct" during a game against the <Albuquerque Scorpion Kings:team#27> yesterday at Venom Field.

Abeele was ejected from the game for arguing a strike call. "It's not right," he said, adding, "I didn't do anything to deserve this. Eject me, but don't suspend me."

His manager also vented his displeasure. "Arguments go on all the time, face-to-face, and there's not a suspension. To be suspended is ridiculous. That's bull."

Abeele did more than just argue the call, he threw his bat at the feet of the umpire and walked off the field. That is the main reason the league suspended him.

This year <Abeele:player#1134> has 2 home runs and a .295 batting average.
