Spurs Get Road Win, 7-4
<José Mendoza:player#4807> left his imprint on the 7-4 <Texas:team#73> win against the <Illinois Warhawks:team#74>. Mendoza, who is a two-time All-Star, was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The first-place Spurs, at 86-50, now lead their division by 4½ games.

One of the biggest contributors for Texas was second baseman <Pancho Pujols:player#7937>. In the top of the fifth, with the bases loaded, Pujols got a 3-1 fastball and grounded out, driving in 1 run. That put the Spurs on top, 5-3.
