Multi-HR Game for Mathijssen in 14-8 Win
The <Arizona Vipers:team#6> knocked off the <Illinois Warhawks:team#74>, 14-8, at Todd Berry Memorial Field. <Luppe Mathijssen:player#11371>, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Arizona won. The first baseman slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. <Miguel Angel Aquino:player#4474>, credited with the win, is now 1-3. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits in 5 innings. Arizona is third in the Frontier League West with a record of 62-61.

Arizona used the timely hitting of <Sam Cole:player#7939> to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Vipers on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Mathijssen. "And not try to do too much."
