Athletics Turn Back Ontario, 3-1
The <New Jersey Athletics:team#80> got a strong performance from pitcher <Jeremy Mastin:player#8182>, who stymied the <Ontario:team#77> offense en route to a 3-1 win at Johnson & Johnson Field. Mastin picked up the win for New Jersey, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 14-4. <Iván Concepción:player#2627> was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 33 of 39 save opportunities.

New Jersey third baseman <Doug Lafleur:player#11678> had a key at-bat for the Athletics in the bottom of the fifth inning. Facing right-hander <Hoon Yi:player#2803>, Lafleur hit a solo home run. It put New Jersey in front, 1-0. For the day, Lafleur was 1 for 3 with a home run.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Ontario manager  . 

The Athletics bumped their record to 64-49 with this latest triumph.
