Bears Bang Out 8-4 Win Versus Illinois

Thompson, who is tied for 6th in the FL in home runs with 23, went 3-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bears. <Raúl Reyes:player#9437> earned the win for Colorado. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 8-6.  The Bears, now 50-50, have won 5 in a row.

<Javier Torres:player#6149> contributed to the Colorado win. The former first round draft pick  stroked a run-scoring  double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Torres was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times.
