Blue Pirates Edge Bulldogs, 4-3
The <Ontario Blue Pirates:team#77> defeated the <California Bulldogs:team#93>, 4-3, in Patriot League action at Bulldog Stadium. <Tony Brin:player#8752> received player of the game honors. The 11-year veteran was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. <Wilfred Bradshaw:player#3639> got the win, improving to 5-8. He worked 6 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. <Ken Daniels:player#1130> notched his 30th save in 33 chances.

With runs few and far between, the Blue Pirates had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Ontario came in the top of the seventh inning, when second baseman <Jorge Martínez:player#1457> delivered a 2-run  home run. The home run was hit off <Gabe Long:player#11138> and made the score 4-3, Blue Pirates. Martínez was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. 

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said California manager <Brett Williams:manager#75>. "The effort was great."

The 'W' lifts Ontario's record to 51-48.
