Bennett Helps Blue Pirates Run Win Streak to 3
The <Ontario Blue Pirates:team#77> knocked off the <Alabama Yellowhammers:team#3>, 7-4, at Farmers Market Stadium. <Dominic Bennett:player#3323>, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Ontario won. The first baseman went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. <Alfredo Cisneros:player#1202> picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. <Johnny Newington:player#6939> was tagged with the loss. <Dan Thompson:player#4179> was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 3 save opportunities.

Ontario grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Bennett, who finished 5th in the FL in triples with 9 in 2043, hit a 2-run  double. His 25th double of the season put the Blue Pirates out in front, 5-3.

"It's good to win," Bennett told the Ontario Citizen. "I like to have fun doing it."

The Blue Pirates bumped their record to 48-45 with this latest triumph.
