Warhawks Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Washington
The <Illinois Warhawks:team#74> defeated the <Washington Resonance:team#91>, 7-5, in Frontier League action at Todd Berry Memorial Field, with Illinois pitcher <Jesús Ortega:player#6583> named player of the game. Ortega, now 6-9, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. Illinois now owns a record of 38-55.

<Juan Bermúdez:player#5815>'s at-bat in the bottom of the seventh was significant for the Warhawks. Coming to the plate with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Illinois leading 3-1, the right fielder hit a 2-run double. 

In comments to the Illinois Observer, Bermúdez admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
