AFBL News: First-Year Player Draft
Scouts, coaches, managers and GMs all huddle together today to review the amateur draft and make decisions to fill their current and future needs. The 2054 American Federation Baseball League candidates will be evaluated even more selectively now that judgment day has fallen on previous scouting reports. Each team will review its initial assessments and compare them to BNN's rankings:

5. <Nate McCarthy:player#8979>, 20 year-old RHP out of college.
6. <Tom Alvarado:player#12184>, 17 year-old RF out of high-school.
7. <Joel Augustus:player#8626>, 20 year-old RHP out of college.
8. <Jason Kelley:player#99>, 17 year-old RHP out of high-school.
9. <Joe Thompson:player#12022>, 17 year-old 3B out of high-school.
10. <Keith Kennedy:player#12163>, 17 year-old 1B out of high-school.

The draft unfolds with the first five picks given to <Alabama:team#3>, <Oregon:team#75>, <Minnesota:team#5>, <Kentucky:team#7> and <New Jersey:team#80>.
