Destroyers End Wendel's Streak
It was the best of both worlds for the <Annapolis Destroyers:team#12> today at Cleveland Ballpark, as they defeated the <Cleveland Attack:team#21> 6-3 and also snapped <Darrell Wendel:player#8463>'s 20-game hitting streak. The 25-year-old Cleveland first baseman failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Wendel, we just wanted to win the game," said Destroyers skipper . "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Wendel frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

So far this season <Wendel:player#8463> has 12 home runs and a .346 batting average.
