Moran Goes Long 3 Times
"It seems kinda odd, you know. I mean hitting three home runs in one game should be enough to win a game, right?" said a somewhat dejected <Conan Moran:player#4119> today after his club's 12-9 defeat to <Hampton Roads:team#103>.

"I guess that's why they call it a team sport. Tomorrow I might strike out four times and other guys pick me up and we win. It takes more than one guy to get a win."

The 23-year-old <Cleveland:team#21> right fielder had a fantastic day against the <Hampton Roads Squires:team#103> -- 3 homers, 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 7 RBIs, and 3 scored.

There were no complaints from the Squires locker room after the game, however. "That guy really had a game, didn't he? Luckily we were able to pretty much shut down the rest of the team," one of the <Hampton Roads:team#103> players told the reporters. "We feel good about getting out of here with the win!"

<Conan Moran:player#4119> struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off <Erik Brown:player#2665> in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off <Mike Pratt:player#1916> in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off <Mike Pratt:player#1916> in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.

Thus far this year <Moran:player#4119> has hit .321 with 19 home runs and 54 RBIs.
