22-Game Streak Ends, Hayashi Hitless
<Soichiro Hayashi:player#9940> saw his 22-game hitting streak wither and die today during the <El Paso Express:team#29> win over <Paducah:team#38> at El Paso Park. The 22-year-old third baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the <Paducah Tigers:team#38>, but his teammates produced enough offense to take the game, 8-1.

"Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Hayashi told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 22 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good."

This season <Hayashi:player#9940> has hit at a .401 clip with 31 RBIs, 3 home runs and 32 runs scored. He has played in 42 games.
