Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
If there wasn't a history between <Luis Velázquez:player#11244> of <Montgomery:team#33> and <Joe Ríos:player#6710> of <Greensboro:team#40>, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.

"We're both really competitive," <Velázquez:player#11244> said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."

Velázquez is hitting .299 for the season with 2 home runs, 16 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 29 hits in 97 at-bats and played in 27 games.

This year <Ríos:player#6710> has compiled a 1-4 mark with a 5.01 ERA in 6 starts.
