Locke Holds Georgia Hitless
<Arizona Vipers:team#6> starter <Jeff Locke:player#1291> said he was standing behind the mound when the scoreboard caught his eye, confirming what he already knew: He was one out from a no-hitter. For a couple of seconds, he didn't move.

"I took a breath and told myself 'This is the last one,'" <Locke:player#1291> recalled.

The right-hander collected himself, got the final out, and finished one of the greatest performances of his career.

The Arizona right-hander no-hit the <Georgia Titans:team#94> 5-0 at The Snake Pit, finishing with 2 walks and 14 strikeouts, facing only 29 batters.

"I knew for a while it was a no-hitter," Locke admitted later. "But I really didn't worry about it until the last out. I thought I just wanted to win the game, and then I realized I wanted the no-hitter, too."
