Vipers Send to New Mexico
You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you find a deal anyway. The Baseball News Network is reporting that <Arizona:team#6> and <New Mexico:team#1> have made a swap with a 5th round draft pick being shipped to the Danger and in return the Vipers would get 30-year-old minor league LF <Lou O'Slattery:player#9519>.

<Arizona:team#6> general manager <Alex Cumana:manager#70> said the two sides were close to a blockbuster trade before agreeing upon a smaller scale transaction.

"This is just a bit of housekeeping compared to what we wanted to do," he said. "I won't name names, but the potential deal we were close to making would have certainly grabbed some headlines."

A source inside the <Arizona:team#6> organization said the two sides might not be done dealing, and another transaction could be in the works.

<O'Slattery:player#9519> has a career .296 batting average and .334 on-base percentage. He has recorded 1345 hits with 250 doubles, 11 triples, 301 homers, 865 RBIs and scored 694 runs since coming into the league.
