LLE's Best Player for 2053 Named
<Mike Connor:player#8780> took Liberty League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 24.

For his spectacular campaign, the <Sarasota Wolves:team#68> star has been named the 2053 East Most Valuable Hitter recipient.

"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman.

On the season he compiled a .311 batting average to go with a .421 on-base percentage. The native of Gorham, Maine also added 36 doubles, no triples, 34 home runs, 100 RBIs and 122 runs scored. 

He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 20. <Chris Armstrong:player#10991> of the <Punta Gorda Bulldogs:team#70> finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while <Phil Frank:player#5932> of the <Sarasota Wolves:team#68> finished third.
