North Carolina Takes 3-2 Lead in Wildcard Series

The <North Carolina:team#8> starter rose to the occasion at Farmers Market Stadium today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Aviators to a crucial 6-2 victory over the <Ontario Blue Pirates:team#77>. Takahashi threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball as the Aviators won on the road to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Wildcard Series.

North Carolina used the clutch hitting of <Eddie Huan:player#11769> to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring  double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Aviators the lead, 4-2. For the game, <Huan:player#11769> had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"We're happy," Huan told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played Thursday at Lowe's Field at Bojangles' Stadium in Charlotte. Slated to start are <Wilfred Bradshaw:player#3639> for the Ontario Blue Pirates and <Odwin Reijssen:player#7337> for the the North Carolina Aviators.
