Blast Puts Rigsby in Record Books
With one historic and mighty swing at Todd Berry Memorial Field <Eric Rigsby:player#4954> of the <Illinois:team#74> Warhawks wrote his name in the league record book. Home run number 64 made it official. He now holds the record for most homers in a season, snapping the old mark of <Chris Payne:player#9983>, the previous record holder. Interviewed after the game <Rigsby:player#4954> said, "Don't get me wrong. I loved setting the new home run record. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the cheers and hullabaloo, but I don't think the records I've set will be the thing I'll most remember from baseball. Those will be broken and fade away over time, but the most cherished memories for me will be the teams I played for, my teammates, the families, friends, fans and the communities. They will always hold a very special and lasting place in my heart."

<Eric Rigsby:player#4954> grounded out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 6th and homered off <Ben Mitchell:player#9202> in the 8th.

Hitting .325 to date, Rigsby has 64 home runs and 148 RBIs. He has played in 156 games.
