Cadiz Snaps Robert's Streak at 22
<Bend:team#46> right fielder <Christian Robert:player#2493> went 0-for-3 today in <Bend:team#46>'s 4-1 triumph over the <Cadiz Bat Hogs:team#54>, snapping his 22-game hitting streak.

Robert spoke to BNN after the game and said he "knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later."

"I just would have preferred later," he said with a laugh. "It was fun though."

When Robert made an out in his last chance at the plate, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. In the clubhouse after the game, he seemed unbothered by the streak ending.

"There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," Bat Hogs manager said of Robert's streak. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here."

So far on the season Robert is hitting .303 with 14 home runs, 56 RBIs and 63 runs scored. He has 138 hits and played in 112 games.
