Season Possibly Over for Bill Brodeur
<Annapolis:team#12> catcher <Bill Brodeur:player#6796> could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He exited yesterday's <Toronto:team#22> game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Brodeur would be out 7 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

Brodeur is hitting .296 this season with 12 home runs, 53 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He has 123 hits in 416 at-bats.
