5-Hit Blitz by Texas's Combs
After a 5-hit effort to lead <Texas:team#73>'s 9-5 victory over the <Minnesota Mallards:team#5>,  left fielder <Ben Combs:player#10732> told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the American Federation Baseball League-level is really something special." 

The 24-year-old player earned his accolades today at Arlington Park with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Mallards. 

"His swing is getting there," said Spurs skipper Matt Yordy, who spoke glowingly of <Combs:player#10732> after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. <Ben:player#10732> did that to perfection today." 

<Ben Combs:player#10732> singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off <Jeff Snyder:player#4419> in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

So far this season <Combs:player#10732> has 22 home runs and a .318 batting average.
