Warhawks Lose to Explorers, 11-7
The <Oregon Explorers:team#75> knocked off the <Illinois Warhawks:team#74>, 11-7, at Todd Berry Memorial Field. <Dave Martin:player#7839>, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Oregon won. The designated hitter was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double,  and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Explorers now have a record of 50-79 with the win over Illinois.

Oregon needed the clutch hitting of <José Fuentes:player#7683> to notch the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run  home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Explorers on top, 7-2. For the game, <Fuentes:player#7683> had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Fuentes called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
