Warhawks Stun Spurs, 3-2
<Texas:team#73> got a terrific performance from pitcher <Riemer van Uffelen:player#10256>, but it wasn't enough to beat the <Illinois Warhawks:team#74>. Illinois won the Arlington Park contest, 3-2. van Uffelen was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. The winner was Illinois reliever <Horace O'Neill:player#7308>, now 6-1. The loser was <Manny Jiménez:player#1515>. <T.J. Stone:player#11591> notched his 20th save in 23 chances.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop <Pat Johnson:player#7561> came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Texas pitcher <Manny Jiménez:player#1515>, he hit a 1-0 cutter for a run-scoring  single. It was a game-changer, putting Illinois on top, 3-2.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Johnson told the Illinois Daily News. 

Illinois is now 50-56, while Texas is 62-44.
